State Treasurers Endorse Joe Biden

Every elected Democratic State Treasurer signs letter in support of former Vice President Joe Biden’s candidacy for President of the United States

There is absolutely no question that our citizens will be best served by Joe Biden becoming the next President of the United States.

Despite significant erosion of America’s economy and global reputation, Donald Trump continues to argue that the country is better off under his leadership and that the pandemic will miraculously disappear. His mismanagement of the COVID crisis has states and local communities facing shortfalls that affect all Americans, and particularly those already marginalized. State and local treasuries face layoffs of firefighters, teachers, police officers, and other essential service providers precisely when their expertise and heroism are most vital. Private sector workers on the frontline of combatting the pandemic are putting themselves at risk to keep us safe. America cannot afford another four years of Donald Trump.

Joe Biden gets that we are all in this together. He has a record of getting the job done.

Joe’s economic plan is a blueprint for bipartisan collaboration on how to build our way out of the current financial crisis. He is ready to invest in our national infrastructure and will put Americans back to work in modern, sustainable engines of growth all over the country. By upgrading roads and bridges and providing 21st century schools and universal broadband, Joe will deliver what our country needs to take care of its people and regain our position in the world.

Joe Biden is a caring, empathetic person who understands how everyday Americans are suffering. We share Joe’s commitment to helping all people as they work to pursue their version of the American Dream.

A President Biden will deliver on the Paycheck Fairness Act, paid sick leave for all American workers and 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave. He will help to break down barriers that have kept too many women, black and brown people, and others sidelined while a select few have thrived.

As State Treasurers, we have created programs in our states to help people secure their financial futures. A Biden Presidency that shares our values and our goal of creating economic prosperity for all, will amplify these efforts and help our citizens achieve the dreams they have for themselves, their families, and our nation.

America’s collective goal should be looking toward a bigger, better, and more inclusive future. We know it will not be easy and the challenges will be great, but we believe in Joe and have confidence that he will get us where we need to go. We are proud to endorse Joseph R. Biden for President of the United States.
